Dear Sir,
　　On behalf of the Visvabharati we thankfully acknowledge the receipt of the donation of 2000 Yens which you have raised in your country and recently sent to our President. We are keeping this sum as a nucleus of a fund to build a home for the Far Eastern scholars and students that might come to Santiniketan. I hope this will meet with your intentions as to the best use of the money that is being raised in Japan.

My dear Dr. Tagore,
　　I was much concerned about your illness in South America. I hope you have already regained your health, and are continuing your trip.
　　With regard to your Visva-Bharati, your friends here, including myself, are in deep sympathy with the aim and object of its work. But as we are now passing through a period of extremely severe business depression, to ask subscription at this time is anything but auspicious. Hence I am remitting to you a sum of two thousand five hundred twenty-six Rupees fifteen Annas (Rs 2, 526-15-0) so far raised for your acceptance.
　　I have heard that you may possibly come again to Japan soon at the invitation of the Tohoku Imperial University. I hope you may be able to accept the invitation; it would certainly give us sincere pleasure to welcome you to our shores.

Dear Viscount Shibusawa,
　　You have my heartiest thanks on behalf of Visvabharati for the collection you have sent to us from Japan. I have decided to use it as a nucleus of a fund which will enable us to
build some memorial of our close relationship with your country.

 I take this opportunity of sending my thanks through you to the people of Japan for the kind welcome I received from them and the assurance of sympathy for our work. I am looking forward to the time, which I hope will not be far distant, when I shall be able to visit Japan once again and renew bonds of fellowship with my friends there. I am preparing for a visit to Europe next autumn where I have my invitation. I shall return home before December when we have to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Visva-Bharati. I earnestly hope that we shall have some guests from Japan at that time who will join us in our festival. Formal invitation will be sent later on in due time.

十二月までには帰国致しヴヰスヴア・バラチ創立廿五年の祝典を挙ぐる筈に有之候間日本よりも代表者の参列を御願申上度く、何れ後日正式の案内状差上げ可申候　敬具
