Dear Sir :
　　This will introduce to you Mr. B. M. Matsuzawa, Secretary of Japanese Work at Nuuanu Young Men's Christian Association.
　　It is the hope of the Nuuanu Y.M.C.A. that Mr. Matsuzawa can be of some assistance to his fellow countrymen who suffered in the recent catastrophe.
　　The Nuuanu Y.M.C.A., as a separate institution, has no fund of its own for relief work in Japan for the reason that in a general public meeting called by the Governor of this territory, it was deemed wisest to concentrate all relief funds into one fund to be handled by the American Red Cross. However, the staff of the Y.M.C.A. and lay members like myself had the pleasure of assisting very materially in raising the relief funds.
　　I hope you will remember the writer as one who had the pleasure of eating unagi meshi with you in Tokyo last March.

拝啓、玆ニヌアヌ基督教青年会日本人事業部幹事松沢氏を御紹介申上候
当ヌアヌ基督教青年会に於ては、今回の罹災者に対し松沢氏が充分救護の任に当られん事を希望致居るものに候、当地知事によりて催せられたる公民会に於て、日本救済資金は全部米国赤十字社に於て取纏めて送附するを可とする旨御話ありしにより、当ヌアヌ基督教青年会に於ては、別に資金を募集致さず候へども、青年会幹事及吾々会員は資金募集の為めニ尽力致候
小生は去三月兜町の貴事務所に於て鰻飯の御饗応に与りたるものに御座候
猶震災に際し閣下始め御一族皆様には御無事なりし事と存候、頭本氏にも何卒よろしく御鳳声被下度候　敬具
