　　Your kind invitation to attend the marriage ceremony of your daughter Miss Helen to Mr. Don Burdick on Monday, June 2, 1930, at 5 o'clock in the chantry of saint Thomas's Church, New York City, duly reached me and I thank you most heartily for your remembering me in this manner.
　　Were it possible for me to be in New York on time, I would certainly be there to congratulate the bride and groom. Under the circumstances, I must satisfy myself simply by sending my felicitation "HEARTY CONGRATULATION" to you as I did through the radiogram which I sent to New York.
